About Aqua Pools, Inc.

The “idea” of Aqua Pools started in the spring of 1974 when we completed our first in ground pool. At that time it was under the name of Mr. Macks in ground pool division. After the first few pools were finished, word of our quality in ground pools spread throughout Evergreen Park and Orland Park. Mr. Macks became so busy with in ground swimming pools that in the fall of 1978 a separate entity was formed and Aqua Pools officially became a reality.

At first, Aqua Pools base of operations was a garage and all the chemicals stored there made the cars start to rust. Eventually, in 1980, we opened our first store in Oak Lawn. There, Aqua Pools expanded their products to above ground pools, pool equipment, pool toys and service. In 1995 we opened another store in Lockport and expanded our business to carry Doughboy above ground pools. We started to get sick of paying rent so in 1997 we purchased property in Worth and moved our store in Oak Lawn to Worth at Southwest Highway and Harlem Avenue. In 2004 we once again decide to get rid of the rent and purchased property in Homer Glen and moved there from Lockport.

Ever since 1974, we've strived to advance our store and employees to use and offer the best quality, most dependable, most cost effective equipment, parts and chemicals available. We built our reputation on only using equipment that is good enough to put on our own pools. Every year a large part of our business comes from customer referrals and return customers.
